I graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in piano performance/pedagogy, having studied under Tina Votapek. My foundation and training can be traced through some incredibly talented, professional pianists; included Tina and Ralph Votapek (Van Cliburn Winner), Rosina Lhevinne, Madame Vengerova, Robert Goldsand and Vasily Safanov.
Since college graduation (1983), I've maintained an active teaching studio. I've served as the Director of the Jackson Symphony Orchestra Community Music School. I have given presentations and webinars on designing summer music camps. Currently, I have a studio in Jackson, Michigan. I've taught for Reach Studio Art Center and Jackson School of the Arts Summer Program.
I currently own Willow Integrative Arts, LLC. I have served on the board of Michigan Music Teachers Association as Awards Chair and as Vice President of Capital Area Music Teachers Association.
Most recently, I've studied piano pedagogy with Irina Gorin and Jane McGrath (Eisenstadt, Austria).
